I believe that this is one of Artaud's finest works. The first album, which of course is a retro goth masterpiece, was intented to be Artaud's comeback to what he does best, GOTH ROCK. Hypogeum II is the link of this comeback to the old Garden of Delight "megalithic" albums. MERCIFUL NUNS are indeed G.O.D's only legitimate, worthy and true successor. In the beggining there was a future....

The album is a true MASTERPIECE!
It took me back to the old G.O.D's albums. I can easily place it among Sargonid Seal and Necromanteion.... The NUNS are here to stay and we will be here to witness it!
